I can't believe this is live ...
SIA is pretty amazing. And is that sign language, or just interpretive dance?

An Absolutely Beautiful Song by Little Joy
Little Joy | "Unattainable" from gorillavsbear.net on Vimeo.
One of my new favorite bands. It's amazing how in times of economic downturn all of our tastes turn back to the simple and unstructured. Plain t-shirts, beards, black and white. You gotta check out all their stuff. If you've decided the only thing you can afford is a good book and a pack of smokes to hold over your Saturday afternoons, then this is your soundtrack.

The Great Communicator from Beyond the Grave
Ronald Reagan once dubbed as “The Great Communicator” posthumously endorses Barack Obama. Now we all know how unusual it is when a Republican endorses a member from across the aisle, but how much more refreshing is it to hear how clear and concise a message it is when it comes from an archived clip.

Appreciate David Lynch's Honesty ...
... because there are very few directors in Hollywood that have the guts to be honest. The question at hand is product placement in film. While many directors are content to see their vision smattered with the logos of General Mills, J and J, Apple, Coke and Pepsi-Cola, Lynch says bullsh*t. Amazing.

And Justice for Dior
Justice, the techno/house/industrial group that every cool guy (including me) is "OK" about listening to, recently provided the music for the Dior Homme Spring/Summer 09 runway show. It's great, it's jammable, it's good for getting a lot of Excel bullshit done to. Rock it out below or hit the link to get the extended 18 minute long video from the Dior Homme website.

Jordan Got a New Face
This past week was my best friend, Jordan's, birthday. We chilled at the Beverly Hills Crescent Hotel. It's an old, art-deco spot designed in the 30's to house the silent film stars of the time. Amazingly enough two of the loudest people in the world were on hand for the night's festivities - myself and the birthday boy. Overall it was a great night filled with good people, good conversation and stiff drinks.
Although smores might seem like an unconventional birthday cake, the presentation and execution were incredible. Come to think of it, I'm not sure it was the cake. It was just flaming so people started singing.
Back in the day I used to be roommates with this guy. He had an alarm clock that blasted The Taste of Ink by The Used. Amazing to wake up to at 6:00 AM on a Saturday. Now the guy's a genius who owns and operates his own business and kills it at University of Phoenix. Love you Justin.
Victor Carillo and his beautiful wife Pamela. This dude owns ID Agency and works closely with SA Studios on projects like ... um ... DeNiro and Pacino's new film Righteous Kill. He also owns and operates Chocolate Crocodile the first account for Everyday Villains.
Thank God my wife always agrees to be in pictures with me. If not, I would have a lot of terrible pictures of myself.
Jordan's diverse group of friends.
Riding and dying together 9 years strong. People say we look like brothers. I don't see it.

The phenomenon of Mayerface ...
This woman told us that John Mayer's motorhome was beautiful 1 million times. I don't think she liked it much.
Put it above your mantle. Right next to your bottle of charcoal-filtered vodka.
MasterCard Moment:

Having her throw up all over you and watching as she pisses herself ... Priceless.
But don't just look at the pretty pictures, enjoy the action:

If You Love Smoking Hot Chicks and The Future ...
I'm not a fan of Lloyd, but I'm a huge fan of Hype Williams, the director of this video. So much silver it reminds me of the glory days of Bad Boy records. Anyways enjoy the chicks, the shine, the futuristic elements and 16 bars of Lil Wayne.

Nights in the Courtyard
Welcome to the courtyard in front of my house. It's a pretty rad place, because we have a table and chairs and everything. Plus the stereo is in the living room and we can leave the front door open so we can rock out.
The following pictures are brought to you by RIM Blackberry, Motorola and Apple.
Shit, dude.
Nike Blazer x Corona Extra.
Claire's hand in the red light. Red light is sexy. Germans.

F Dub Movie Club Night 1
A few weeks ago the crew and I were chatting about different movies we liked. I was shocked to find out most of my friends had not seen some of my favorite movies. Even more shocking was that I had seen very few of their favorite movies as well. That's when inspiration hit me - we should start a movie club. Like a book club but with movies, and we would watch them together at the same time. Two weeks later, voila, we were having our first movie club experience.
Our first pick? Sideways. I felt like this would be a great film to kick off the club. It's about wine (we like wine), its about the Central Coast (where we live), its about relationships (we're all in one). Made sense. Well, here's Sideways and the movie club:
But first, the cake Caitlin made:
She's modest about its delicousness.
Jenn felt like exercising so she could have more cake.
Zap set the mood.
Everyone settled in.
Wine and a movie. "I am not drinking fucking merlot!"
So how did everyone like the film?
Jasmine gave it two glowing eyes.
Ani gave it two closed eyes.
Zap gave it two thumbs up.
Jenn also gave it two thumbs up.
Caitlin gave it 1 and 3/4 thumbs up.
Matty A gave it 4 fingers ... um ... yeah.
Claire gave it (1) thumb and (1) pug up.
The movie club will continue over the next few weeks. Each participant will be bringing a surprise movie to the festivities. The schedule will go as follows (alphabetically):
Ani
Caitlin
Claire
Emily
Jenn
Matt
